HEAD'S WELCOME

Lace Hill Academy is a vibrant one-form entry primary school located in Buckingham. We are honoured to be part of the Campfire Education Trust. Both at a school and Trust level, the children are at the centre of all we do and we are very proud of them and our whole school community. Visitors often comment when they come into the school how calm the environment is and how polite our children are. We believe strongly that embedded values are at the heart of nurturing and developing children ready for the next stage of their education, and ultimately supporting them to become good citizens in our community. At Lace Hill, our core values are Resilience, Integrity and Respect, which set the high expectations we have of all our children and staff.

We are very lucky to have supportive families who are willing to work with us for the benefit of our children. We place great emphasis on collaboration between school and families to ensure the best possible opportunities are in place for all the children. Parents support us in key elements of the school such as the school uniform policy, the behaviour policy and the attendance policy. Lace Hill also make great efforts to link itself with the immediate community and has close contacts with local industry, Well Street Church, Buckingham University and the local printing office.

Our broad and balanced curriculum is designed to be responsive to each and every cohort and child in our school. While we have a curriculum in place designed to enable rich and inspiring experiences with a focus on the learning extracted from exciting opportunities, we believe our curriculum is never finished because no child is the same and therefore deserves a curriculum that is adaptable and flexible to the children and classes in our school and the context they are living in. Our curriculum gives children the opportunity to showcase their talents beyond the classroom. We have specialist teachers in place teaching languages, music and sport with the chance to attend many festivals and be a valued member of the community.

We have extended services on site for parents who require wraparound care for their children. Breakfast Club is from 7:30am and Afterschool Clubs are until 4:30pm and 6:00pm. The sessions are run by Sports 4 All and you can find more information by clicking here.

I feel privileged to be the Headteacher of Lace Hill Academy. I know that, thanks to the endeavors of the talented staff team, we have an exceptional school that we are all very proud to belong to.
