Pupil Voice

At Lace Hill Academy we believe that our pupils should be at the heart of all decisions that are made about our school and that every child’s voice should be heard.

What is pupil voice?
The term ‘pupil voice’ refers to ways of listening to the views of pupils and/or involving them in decision-making.

At Lace Hill Academy we provide opportunities for children to share their views through:

  • Regular meetings with staff and governors
  • Annual pupil questionnaire
  • Raising awareness days
  • Pupil parliament meetings

Why is pupil voice important?
Sharing views and ideas promotes a sense of belonging within our school and heightens well-being. It is important for our pupils to be proud of their achievements and their school and we treat this with the importance it deserves.

What should your child do if they have a concern?
If your child has a pressing concern regarding school, however minor this may seem, they are encouraged to share this with an adult in school so that it can be dealt with swiftly
