PE and Sport Premium Funding

The PE and Sport premium funding is for schools to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and Sport they offer.

Schools receive PE and Sport Premium funding based on the number of pupils in Year 1 to 6.

Objectives for PE and Sport Premium in this Academy

  • Develop or add to the PE and Sports activities that the Academy already offers.

  • Make improvements that will benefit pupils joining the Academy in future years.

Strategy for using the Funding

The Academy looks carefully at the needs of pupils and will decide to put in place provision strategies for best impact. We anticipate these might be things like:

  • introduce new sports and activities that encourage more pupils to take up sport,

  • support and invite the least active children by running school sports clubs,

  • provide existing staff with training and resources to help them teach PE and sport more effectively,

  • have qualified sports coaches,

PE and Sport Funding Expenditure

This will be updated during the 2016/17 academic year as we implement strategies for developing additional or sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and Sport that we offer.

Evaluation of the impact of the Funding
